Use your time in lockdown to review your insurance and financial arrangements

21/04/2020
We’re all doing our best in the challenging circumstances that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought about.

The lockdown has seen many of us taking on the garden, clearing out the spare room or even a bit of DIY around the house. All of the jobs that have been on a "to do" list that we now find we have the time to carry out.

Now could also be the ideal time to review your financial matters. Maybe not as enjoyable as being out in the garden perhaps - but equally as important.

Here we bring you two articles that can help with getting your financial arrangements in order.

FOCUS on Commercial Insurance - Summer 2019

31/07/2019
Welcome to the summer edition of our newsletter.

This time, we bring you news about the increase in theft that is hitting SMEs.

Then we outline the importance of making sure that your supply chain is protected - especially in times of uncertainty in global commerce.

As we've been experiencing record temperatures over the last week, we thought we'd provide some useful guidance on how, as an employer, you can help your employees avoid the risk of skin damage from the sun.

Finally, for this issue's "Meet the Team" feature - it's Phil Hutt.

We hope you find this an interesting read - and please feel free to share with any colleagues who might also like to receive this. To be added to the mailing list, simply ask them to email us and we can add them to the distribution list.

Any feedback is positive for us - so if you have any comments, do get in touch. And if there's any topics you'd like us to cover, then let us know.

Your Summer newsletter from FOCUS

31/07/2019
Summer has arrived, the schools have broken up and the weather is certainly living up to expectations so far.

Whilst thinking about insurance may not be top of your agenda for this time of year, we'd like to share some topical, interesting and useful articles with you.

Our first item looks at how cyber crime is not just affecting businesses but people in their own personal world. We bring you a real life story and demonstrate why cyber should be a consideration as part of your home insurance solution.

Then we highlight the additional risks to household possessions during the school holidays with the increased risk of accidental damage.

Summer holidays also mean that more of us take to the open road, so here we share a few useful tips to stay cool behind the wheel - and a reminder of what to do in the event of an accident.

Finally, continuing with our "Meet the Team" feature, in this edition we introduce to Mat Burden - our motor insurance expert.

And don't forget - if you recommend a friend or colleague to FOCUS, you'll be rewarded for doing so with a £25 Waitrose/John Lewis gift card if a policy is subsequently taken out.

We hope you find this an interesting read. Any feedback is positive for us - so if you have any comments, do get in touch. And if there's any topics you'd like us to cover, then let us know.

As we welcome the warmer weather and longer days that may well encourage us to tackle outdoor jobs,  we bring you a few hints and tips to catch up on jobs to prevent damage from sudden downpours.

Finally, we thought we'd like to introduce the team here at FOCUS and so to start with, meet our newest team member - Madelaine Swift.
